Ova-donation Program
The ova donations, also known as ova-donation, is a technique of assisted reproduction that has proved to have a great effectivity in patients that, for different motives, have seen their ovarian reserve affected. The ova of this patients have normally low rates of fertilization and implantation in their embryos.
In this way, the ova donation program is used in order to achieve a pregnancy. The proceeding consists of an execution of the Ovarian Stimulation and Puncture Stage in the donor. Once the ova are obtained, those are fecundated in the laboratory with sperm from the receiver couple (the patient). The obtained embryos subsequently will be transferred to the uterus of the patient.
DONOR PROGRAM
The ova donors are young women with less than 30 years old, whose ovarian reserve has been evaluated and considered in an excellent state. Likewise, they must fulfill all and every evaluation requisite both from the gynecologist, psychiatric and genetic point of view (karyotype) in order to ingress to the program.
Additionally, we perform a detailed evaluation in the pathology laboratory for the detection of infectious diseases like Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis (VDRL), VIH, among others, in order to verify that they are not carriers of diseases potentially transmissible through their ova.
Inside our exhaustive evaluation, we make a special emphasis not only to the physical characteristics, but also their personal, familiar scholar and academic records, in order to provide a greater peace of mind and security to the couples that are going to perform a treatment with ova donation.
For the selection process, it will be performed according to the phenotype and physical characteristics of the donor with the patient (receiver). The ova donation is totally anonymous, nevertheless, the law allows to provide the patients general information of the donor without revealing their identity.
