ICSI

Assisted reproduction technique that entails the microinject on of a single sperm into the egg.
ICSI is a fertilization technique that offers great possibilities when there are difficulties in achieving pregnancy.

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is a technique used in certain cases. It is especially recommended for severe male infertility factors such as low sperm count, poor motility, or abnormal morphology.

This procedure entails the selection of the best-quality sperm and injecting it directly into the egg. Using an inverted microscope equipped with a micromanipulator, the egg is held firmly in place while a very fine micropipette is used to inject the sperm into its interior. This process is performed on all mature eggs available for fertilization.

ICSI has been one of the most revolutionary fertility treatments, making it possible for many couples with complex diagnoses —particularly severe male factor infertility— to achieve pregnancy.

We combine experience, state-of-the-art technology and a highly specialized team to achieve the best pregnancy rates in fertility treatments in Colombia.
