Reprotec Fertility Center was born on April 4, 1994 at the initiative of theDr Ricardo Rueda SaenzWho, upon returning from his training in gynecology, obstetrics and reproductive medicine, the universities of Johns Hopkins and McGill in the United States and Canada, is linked to the Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Human Reproduction of the Santa Fe Foundation of Bogotá and the Medical Association of the Andes.
At that time, in the company of his wife Mónica Sanz, the project, which is now known as Reprotec Center for Fertility – Reproductive Medicine, SAS, begins.

Starting the year 1996, Dr. Rueda seeks to link two doctors as a partner that he had known since his years as a medical student at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, for his high professional and personal qualities. They would be the right people to give it continuity and grow this center. Around the same time, a doctor of Cuban nationality, Dr. Lourdes López, is linked as a member. Lourdes was a very important complement to the group. She, in addition to being a great human being, was instrumental in the standardization of assisted reproduction laboratories in Reprotec. Subsequently, other people were temporarily linked to the group, and they no longer accompany us. Since the year of 1998, Mrs. Deisy Mora, being an internship student, took the reins of the administration of this center.

This is how we have walked for more than two decades, avoiding challenges and difficulties, reaping achievements, contributing to the training of new medical generations and positioning Reprotec Fertility Center as the allied center to the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Santa Fe Foundation of Bogotá And as the first center in Colombia and one of the best in Latin America. In this way we have helped thousands of people fulfill their dream, that of building a family.

Today we are a group of 38 people who work daily with great enthusiasm and professionalism in the manufacture of the happiness of our patients. Reprotec is today the best “happy faces” factory in the world!
